Many people
initially learn to fly fish from friends or relatives;
thanks
Grandad!
However, the mechanics of fly-casting are difficult
enough to master and will become the foundation for
your personal fly fishing evolution. To ensure that
these foundations are solid and that you have not
picked up any bad habits along the way it is essential
that you are taught properly by a trained and qualified
instructor. It does not have to be a painful experience!
My name is Martyn Armstrong. As an AAPGAI qualified
instructor, I hold the premier fly casting instructional
qualification available in the UK and I have guided
professionally throughout the UK and Canada. Let me
help you better understand fly fishing for trout and
grayling in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Hopefully
you will feel that you have been fishing with a friend
and will not have picked up too many of my bad habits!
My aim is to provide a bespoke fly fishing experience
which meets your individual needs. Here are some of
the services I offer:
• Individual
or group tuition
available on still or running waters
• Personal tuition in basic skills, improver
level or advanced
techniques
• Problem solving and casting clinics
• One-day introductions, weekends or longer
breaks
• School introductory days for children
• Equipment advice (It does not have to be expensive
- knowledge and experience far out-weigh advertising)
• Top quality equipment for hire
• Corporate days arranged
• Lectures and presentations
• Casting and fishing demonstrations
• Accompanied fishing expeditions (See Canada

• Winter Grayling Fishing
